He was born into a well to do family. Following in his fathers footsteps he entered the army after graduating from the Indonesian Military Academy in 1973. He then was aranged to marry Kristiani Herawati, the daughter of a very powerful general. He then advanced and started to train with the us army, at the us training facilities. I think its cool that the president from a diffrent county wanted to train with our military. I dont understant the aranged marage but thats the culture. If i was to meet him i would ask him what the biggest issues are that he has to deal with as presiden.
